The image is based on a detailed portion of an acrylic painting titled ‘Dusk’. Four color-separated transparencies were created (cyan, magenta, yellow and black, CMYK process colors) and with the exception of the yellow were etched into a polymer plate. The black plate was omitted and the magenta plate was printed full-strength, while the cyan was mixed with a transparent base. The plates were printed 2-3 days apart to allow for adequate drying time.
