Solarplate Intaglio > More Prints

I wanted a challenge to produce an edition of one of my original monotypes, 'The First Day X'. The design, created digitally, is based on the monotype. Four color-separated transparencies were created (cyan, magenta, yellow and black, CMYK process colors) and each etched into a Solarplate. Process color inks, except for black, were mixed with a transparent base. The plates were printed 2-3 days apart to allow for adequate drying time.
